The first official release from Sydney-based pop duo Porcelain Boy has dropped today. ‘Dull Girl’ is driven forward by punchy synths and pulsing beats, taking the addictive melodies of pop and mixing them with undeniable danceability. Lyrically, the tune is about giving in to indulgences: “There’s a difficult line between indulging in a moment, and accepting the fact that all good things are terminal. It’s hard to not let the latter spoil that which has not yet come to pass. It’s a sorry predicament that is a little too familiar to the bulk of the people we know, whereby fearing the end, they manifest it”.
